SAC STATE HIGHLIGHT TAPE

2 YEAR STARTING QB AT MTSU

"I had the pleasure of coaching Asher O’Hara the past two seasons as both his head coach and offensive coordinator at Sacramento State University.
The intangibles that I look for in a quarterback are:

a deep love of football,
a high level of mental toughness
and a fierce competitive attitude.

Ash, without a doubt, ranks as high in these areas of anyone that I’ve ever coached at the position.

Ash is an incredible leader and teammate. He always puts the team first. The past two seasons we used a two-quarterback system. I had never done so before and I was a bit concerned on how the dynamics would affect the team. What I discovered was that because Ash and the other quarterback were such selfless, team first players, it created an environment that inspired others to put the team first.

This clearly was one of the reasons that made us so successful as a team.

In terms of playing the actual quarterback position, Ash was outstanding. He is uniquely talented as both a runner and a passer.

As a runner, he was a game changer that always found a way to get the ball in the end zone (19 TD runs).

As a passer, he completed 73% of his passes with 11 TD throws and 0 Interceptions.

His preparation for the season and each game was beyond reproach.

I always knew he would be highly prepared and ready to activate.

I unequivocally recommend Ash as a quarterback for your organization.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any further questions."

“I’VE COACHED AND RECRUITED NUMEROUS COLLEGE QUARTERBACKS WHO’VE WON NUMEROUS ACCOLADES INCLUDING SEVERAL “CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE YEAR” AWARDS AS WELL AS THE FIRST PICK IN THE NFL DRAFT AND SUPER BOWL STARTING QUARTERBACK JARED GOFF OF THE LA RAMS.

ASHER O’HARA IS AS GOOD AS ANY PLAYER I’VE COACHED IN MY 40 YEARS. HE’S TOUGH, ACCURATE AS A PASSER, A GREAT RUNNER, COMPLETELY UNSELFISH, AND AN INCREDIBLE TEAMMATE.

I’M EXCITED TO WATCH HIS FINAL TWO SEASONS AS A COLLEGE QB. HE WILL BE AN INCREDIBLE ASSET TO ANY PROGRAM IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL.

HE’S SPECIAL AS A PLAYER BUT EVEN MORE SPECIAL AS A HUMAN BEING."
